Kerry Day BA(Hons)Dip Counselling Integrative & Eclectic Counsellor

I work holistically, attending to the whole person and drawing on diverse approaches using my intuition, while being guided by each person’s own inner felt sense, co-creating an experience of deep integration and gentle renewal.

As an Integrative Therapist - I blend psychodynamic and person centered approaches within a psychotherapy framework.

Psychodynamic – I explore unconscious patterns, early life experiences and how they affect present behaviour.

Person-centred (Rogerian) – I offer empathy, unconditional positive regard and a non-judgemental space so clients can self-actualise.

Psychotherapy (umbrella) I you're trained in talking-therapy methods and draw on several approaches as needed.

----------

As a Eclectic Counselor - I pull on other techniques depending what client needs:

CBT techniques – identifying and re-framing unhelpful thoughts.

EFT / Energy work – tapping/energy-based methods to release emotions.

Hypnosis – guided trance to access the unconscious.

Visualization & Meditation – imagery and mindfulness to calm and re-focus.

Inner Child Work – reconnecting with and healing younger parts of the self.

"The Body Speaks" / Somatic Work – noticing and processing stored tension and emotions in the body.

Integration Practices – weaving insights into daily life.

Shadow Work – exploring denied or repressed aspects of self. Gestalt – using some role play and other methods to explore experiences parts of self and relationships.

I help people remember what they already know deep down, that healing and transformation are natural. With a background in counselling, psychotherapy, Reiki, creative arts and performance, I create safe, non-judgemental spaces where you can explore who you are, reconnect with your inner wisdom and move beyond limiting patterns.

I completed my Postgraduate qualification in Counselling in 2009, and I am currently completing my degree in Psychotherapy. I’ve been supporting clients since 2009 in different settings, combining evidence-based therapy with creativity, movement, the bodies knowledge and intuitive practices. My work draws on decades of personal and professional experience in trauma, recovery, self-expression and self-development.

I believe the synergy between people can create real magic. Just as the relationship we form with our own bodies can. It is the heart-to-heart connection, our heart’s medicine, conscious presence, and the loving compassion generated between people and for ourselves that can take us deeper.

Just as nature and our bodies know how to heal themselves, so do we on a mental and emotional level. Society, conditioning, and life experiences may cause us to forget this innate wisdom. My work supports you in remembering. I offer a safe, non-judgmental space to explore more of who you are. A deeper self-awareness gives us more agency over the patterns that keep us from living the life we long for.

Since 2010 I have been practicing Reiki and have qualified as a Reiki Master. I have also studied sound as a form of healing. My Degree in Fine Art, earned in 2001, continues to inform my practice. I have been using creativity as a therapeutic means of support for others for over two decades.

I have been working with individuals and couples tackling some of the issues these issues sexual abuse, fragmentation, dissociation, chronic illness, anxiety, depression, body dismorphia, BPD, sexual abuse, Trauma, Bereavement, self development, childhood trauma, OCD, self doubt, stress.

I have successfully supported couples to re-connect find more intimacy and harmony. This work is also very powerful in self development.

I also facilitate inclusive improvisation workshops, as well as inclusive spaces for art, merging the worlds of creativity, performance and self-development.
