Having had two children of my own, I have experienced both a difficult pregnancy and two completely different births both of which have given me a great deal of empathy and understanding. These experiences have served to further fuel my enthusiasm for working within women's health.
I enjoy my outdoor activities and wanted to ensure that the birth of my two girls did not prevent me from continuing to enjoy these activities to the full. I am driven to try and help all my patients to get back to the life they wish to lead.
I find women’s health an extremely rewarding job. Suffering from incontinence and prolapses can be very life limiting and have a devastating effect on quality of life. Being able to treat these conditions and empower women to take control of their symptoms and get back to the activities they wish to be involved in can be life changing for women, and hugely satisfying as a therapist.
Over the years I have been fortunate enough to attend one of the only Universities that covered the subject of women's health. This is where my initial interest in the subject began. During the early stages of my career I sought further knowledge and experience within the area of women's health before specialising within the field. During my career I have had the privilege of working with some great practitioners, building up a wealth of experience. I have enjoyed undertaking numerous post graduate courses within women's health and constantly strive to deliver the best care I can possibly offer to my clients.
Rest assured that you will be treated with total confidentiality and sensitivity so that you are able to talk through any problems you may have without feeling embarrassed. I always remind my patients that they are not alone, there are so many women suffering with these problems and we are here to help and support you.
