Hypnotherapy, NLP & Coaching

The unconscious is the part of your mind that deals with habitual and automatic reactions, feelings, emotions, processes and functions that are outside of our conscious awareness - things that you literally don't need to think about because you just do them. Once communication with it is opened, via hypnotherapy, NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) and/or Coaching, remarkable changes can be made. What is Hypnosis? Hypnosis is a deeply relaxed and focused state of mind, similar in some ways to meditation or daydreaming. Hypnosis, or trance, is as an altered state of consciousness that is naturally occurring and that allows easy communication with your unconscious mind and its vast storehouse of resources that can be accessed and utilised for therapeutic change and healing. In one form or another it has been used by healers throughout history and in virtually all cultures

What is Hypnotherapy? Hypnotherapy uses hypnosis and other psychological, psychotherapeutic and counselling techniques including many drawn from its close relative NLP to look beneath the surface for the roots of problems and unwanted behaviour and thought processes that have their origin in unconscious habits, motivations and ways of thinking. Using direct and indirect suggestion, hypnotherapy seeks to help clients' unconscious minds generate and develop alternative and more liberating ways of thinking, feeling or behaving.

The American psychiatrist Milton Erickson (1901-1980) said that all of a hypnotherapist's patients are patients only to the extent that their conscious and unconscious minds are not in rapport. The therapist's task is to guide the patient in re-establishing that rapport so that healing and growth can occur. And the main vehicle for enabling that rapport is hypnotic trance.

Some say that all hypnosis is self-hypnosis so while in trance the client is fully aware of what is going on and will not do anything that runs counter to their essential values and beliefs.

What is NLP? NLP is sometimes described as the instruction manual for the brain. It addresses how we think and lets us use simple psychological techniques to alter the ways we think and consequently change our states of minds and our behaviour.

NLP can be used as a therapy to treat quickly problems such as phobias, limiting beliefs, smoking and eating issues. For self-development, business development and sporting improvement, NLP can help us discover who we are, what we want and how to get where we want to be.

What is Coaching? Coaching uses techniques and concepts drawn from NLP, hypnotherapy and elsewhere to facilitate making fundamental changes in your life. It's a process that helps you maintain the motivation and commitment necessary to grow, develop and achieve your goals whether they are emotional, personal, physical, spiritual, career oriented or a mix of all these. It is primarily focused on the present and future helping individuals to add more skills and choices to their life and unlock their.
