....more about Lucy
Lucy can offer treatments at The Blue Lotus Therapy Centre on Thursdays and on Saturday mornings.
Lucy can offer you a range of treatments to suit your needs; she has a wide range of advanced massage techniques which she uses to make your treatment tailor made for you.
Relaxing massage - if you need to take some time out and be pampered, or to help you get through a stressful time then spend an hour or an hour and a half on the massage couch having a calming light to medium pressure massage. You can help plan the massage you would like and which areas you would/wouldn't like to be massaged.
Full body massage or if you would like just your back, neck and shoulders massaged this takes about 1 hr.
Deep Tissue Massage - These deeper pressured massages are not just for sports people, but are for any client who has muscular pain or 'knots' which are stopping them from being able to move or giving them frequent pain either in rest or when carrying out certain movements. Common areas of pain are hips, lower back, between the shoulder blades or shoulders and neck. Lucy can incorporate some hot stones work into your massage, if requested in advance, to give a lovely deeply warming massage. The treatment will be discussed and planned with you before the massage begins. These treatments usually last for an hour.
Sports Massage Therapy - Whether you are a recreational or a serious, in training sports person you may want to improve your performance by increasing your range of movement or you may have an injury you need massaging to speed up your recovery. These massages can include stretching and a range advanced massage techniques to meet your needs. Sports Massage Therapists are able to treat identified injuries but are not qualified to diagnose them in the first instance. The treatments usually last for an hour but can be longer if required.
Lucy is keen to use massage to prevent injury and is happy to negotiate reduced rates for clients who have regular appointments.
Hot Stones Therapy - This treatment uses warmed massage stones to help give a deeply relaxing massage. The stones are warmed in water then oiled and used in the palms of the masseur to give warming, deeper pressure strokes to the muscles. The massage works in the same way as a relaxing massage but with the added benefit of the warm stones! A full body treatment lasts about one and a half hours, or you can have a shorter one hour treatment focussing on your legs and back.
She has a mobile service for home visits on Fridays or Saturdays and provides seated massage for companies in Truro.
Lucy is able to offer reduced rates for regular clients or those needing a series of treatments booked in advance.
When Lucy isn't massaging she can usually be found in her kayak, walking the coastal paths or cycling!
